DIY Halloween Costumes That Your Little Ones Will Love
Halloween is one of those times in the year when parents the World over face the dreaded realization that they forgot to purchase an outfit for their little one. At times like this, it is time to get creative, search through all of the cupboards and drawers to find whatever you can to cobble together an outfit that is good enough for your child to avoid looking foolish. If this happens to you then here are some great outfits that you can quickly put together to turn your Halloween nightmare into success.
The ultimate go-to Halloween costume is the ghost, all you need for this ghoulish outfit is a white sheet, cut the white sheet to size for your child and place it over their head. Once you have done this you will need to cut two holes for the eyes, make the holes larger than the eyes of your child as the sheet will no doubt move as they walk. If you wish you can add some blood to the sheet with red pen just to add to the effect.
Another incredibly basic Halloween outfit that you can lash together at the last minute is a witch. Simply take a black refuse sack or garbage bag , cut a hole in the top for a head and use a black belt to gather it in at the waist. For the witches hat you can use some card, shape it like a cone and use sellotape to attach, witches hats are very populous at this time of year so if you have time then you can pick one up in most grocery stores. To finish the outfit, get creative with your make-up to give your child a truly haggard looking face.
The outfit of a gangster is very simple, black suit, white shirt, black tie, most kids already own such outfits from previous parties or events and it makes for a super cool Halloween outfit. You can get a little creative with the outfit by adding a pair of sunglasses or a toy gun and if you really want to get into the Halloween spirit then add some splashes of blood to the white shirt. Nothing says Halloween like blood and it will look like your gangster child has just made somebody and offer that they couldn’t refuse.
To turn your little one into a ladybug for Halloween all you need is a red cape or dress and some ping pong balls. Ping pong balls can be picked up cheaply and easily from any sports store, simply paint them black and attach them to the red outfit. For the antennas you can either purchase them from an accessory shop or use some craft wire to wrap around a headband and attach ping pong balls to the top. This is a great last minute outfit and one that will make your child stand out and look cute.
